PRISON MINISTRY
INSIDE:

The Diocese of Florida has thirty (31) prisons, with one more being built; twenty eight (28) jails and eleven (11) youth facilities that house about 30,000 inmates in the Diocese of FL. There is much work to be done. Those involved with prison ministry are not only attempting to minister to this population, but to the inmate's families.

In some cases, we are holding Episcopal services at the correctional facilities, in others, we have joined our brothers and sisters in Christ to promote ALPHA, Kairos, or TORCH. In addition, there are ecumenical Bible studies such as Disciple I, prayer and praise services and mentoring opportunities.
We have nine established communities behind bars within the Diocese:
All Saints Chapel, Union Correctional
The Community of St. Dismas, Baker Correctioal
The Episcopal Community of St. Teresa, Wakulla Correctional
The Episcopal Community of St. Teresa, Wakulla Work Camp
